Go on a relaxing stroll along the Lynn Valley Trail to observe the fall colours and learn about how trees shut down for the winter while enjoying the fall palette of colours. We’ll also discuss how animals get ready for winter – including why many animals migrate, and how others get ready for a cold, snowy winter ahead.
Where to meet: Lynn Valley Trail parking lot on Blueline Road just north of St. John’s Road and opposite 911 #516.

- Hikes are free to the public. Limit is 20 participants
- Pre-registration is required by emailing info@norfolkfieldnaturalists.org
- Please wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and hiking conditions
- Carry water, bug spray, and sunscreen
- Don’t forget your cellphone, camera, binoculars, and/or a field guide
- No pets please
Meetings
Meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Simcoe Recreation Centre, Norfolk Room. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m.
Field Events
Various field outings are also planned throughout the year, and include trips to local conservation areas, bird banding, winter tree identification and much more. Field outings are free of charge.
